Why Petsburgh Mobile Pet Salon?
Petsburgh Mobile Pet Salon provides you and your pet the convenience of having your pet groomed in their familiar territory without the hassle of running back and forth to a traditional groom shop. It allows you to either be at home or out running errands while we make your best friend beautiful!
Do you provide full service grooming?
Yes, we provide all services performed in a traditional grooming salon.
What type of pets do you groom?
Petsburgh Mobile Pet Salon grooms most breeds of dogs. We will also provide nail trims for other friendly pets.
Do you express anal glands?
Yes, we externally express anal glands during the bathing process, by request. There is no additional charge to provide this service.
Is it necessary to book an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled in advance to accommodate all of our customers. Also, it is best to pre-book your next appointment to ensure a date and time that best accommodates your schedule.
Do you offer convenient days and hours of operation?
Yes! We try to meet all of our customers’ needs.
Would you groom my dog while I am at work or out for the day?
Yes, we groom many pets while their owners are not at home. We would meet with the family and the pet prior to the first appointment so we can get acquainted. On the day of the groom, you would supply a key or security code for us to enter your home to get your pet. We will give them a potty break, provide the grooming service and then return them to the comfort of their home.
Do you offer appointment reminders?
Yes, you will receive both an email and a telephone call reminder. The tellephone call reminder will be the day before your appointment, unless otherwise requested.
Do you keep grooming history records?
Yes. We maintain a detailed customer record for each pet groomed, to include pet owner information as well as services rendered to the pet during each visit.
How do you handle pet emergencies?
If an emergency does occur, and depending on the severity of that emergency, the owner will be immediately contacted. If the owner is not available, or if the need is present, the veterinarian we have on file will be contacted.
Do you offer special care appointments for elderly or disabled pets?
Elderly or disabled pets will be accommodated in any way possible to make their grooming experience pleasant.
Do you groom cats?
No, we do not groom cats. We recommend our favorite mobile cat groomer, Diane LaPierre, (813) 732-7783, www.kittycatgroomer.com.
Do you tranquilize pets before you bathe or groom them?
NO! We will never tranquilize a pet. Our groomers are trained to handle nervous pets and treat each pet with love and care. If a pet becomes too aggressive or skittish to bathe or groom, we will not attempt to force the service on the pet.
Do you allow pet owners to come into your vehicle and watch as you groom?
To avoid a stressful situation for the pet, we do not recommend the pet owner be in the vehicle during the groom. It is more difficult for the groomer to control the pet when the pet can see or hear his or her owner. All owners are offered a full tour of the van before the groom.
Do you offer discounts for multiple grooms?
No, we do not discount the grooming service for multiple grooms. However, grooming prices are decreased when regular appointments are scheduled and grooms are maintained.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are a fully insured business.
Do you need to connect to my water or electric when you come to my home?
NO! Our mobile unit is fully self-contained. We will never need to connect to any of your utilities. We only need a place to park.
Last Minute Reschedule/Cancellation Policy
You will receive a courtesy email two days prior to your appointment, and a courtesy text the day before your appointment. If you need to reschedule, please contact us as early as possible.
Last minute cancellations made within 24 hours of an appointment will be charged a minimum fee of 50% of the appointment fee. If you are not home (and haven't made arrangements for us to access your dog) or forget the appointment altogether, you will be charged the full appointment fee.
